Chinese Dictionary Traffic Survey Observations:

a) Chinese dictionaries generally do not attract many visitors -- TigerNT (#3) has the  highest traffic at about 18K visitors/day (1/10 of shuku.net), the rest each has 1/10 to 1/2 of TigerNT.

b) Chinese dictionaries generally have low pageviews per visitor -- people generally search one or two words without spending more time staying at a dictionary site.

c) There is no established brand name nor clear leader in online Chinese dictionaries, as evidenced from the lack of a Zipf's distribution. Dictionary qualities are low (CEDICT and alike). Mostly run by individuals, lacking of computing resources such as  bandwidth. Among the top-10, sunrain (#8) and cmu (#9) are down. Most others are slow, and not well designed. Many were very old, designed more than 5 years ago (mostly around 1994-1998).
